XMLSolutions Releases XMLZip - Leading XML File Compression Tool
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 1999--XMLSolutions
Corporation, a leader in E2E(SM) (end-to-end) business e-commerce
solutions, today announced the availability of XMLZip(TM) for the
Windows NT and Linux operating systems.
XMLZip provides the industry's first compression tool for use
with XML documents.
XMLSolutions developed XMLZip to provide an efficient solution
for handling large XML files. These large XML files use a
disproportionate amount of transmission time over the Internet as well
as large amounts of storage on both the server and client equipment.
XMLZip reduces the size of XML files without adding undo-processing
time to access portions of the files.
XMLZip's compression technique allows users to determine the
level at which they want to compress XML files, thus allowing
continued utilization of the DOM API without performance degradation.
As an example of the compression delivered by XMLZip, a 1.2 Mb XML
document shrinks to a file of just 136-kb!
Pricing
XMLZip is currently offered at no cost to the public. Please read
the licensing agreement that accompanies XMLZip for any restrictions.
Availability
XMLZip supports the Windows NT and Linux platforms and will
support UNIX in the near future. To download the latest release,
