Access International Names John Buckner Jr. as
President and Chief Executive Officer
Feb 10 2003, New York City and Denver
Access International Financial Services, a leading provider of reference
data management for achieving straight-through processing (STP) requirements,
today announced that John Buckner Jr. has joined the company as President
and Chief Executive Officer.
“I am very pleased and excited to join Access International and look
forward to leading this highly talented team,” said Mr. Buckner. “Access’
innovative product portfolio and strong development team present a compelling
value proposition to our customers. The company is well positioned to become
the industry’s leading products and services organization that directly
addresses the challenges that exist within the reference data marketplace.”
In making today’s announcement, Access International Chairman and
co-founder Jeffry Metter said, “John is a tremendous talent who has
proven to be very effective in building and managing companies that deliver
products and services into the financial services industry.” Added
Metter, “John is uniquely qualified to ensure that Access leverages
the tremendous potential for our entire software product suite.”
Formerly, Mr. Buckner was CEO of Symphoni Interactive, a securities-industry
consulting company chartered to provide value-added project management consulting
services to banks, broker/dealers, and the vendors that serve them. Originally,
Mr. Buckner founded Symphoni Interactive as IMIS Inc. and, over a six-year
period, was successful in building the organization into a multi-million
dollar entity.
Throughout his career, Mr. Buckner has been exposed to many brokerage and
banking capital markets operations and has extensive experience in the evaluation
and implementation of large-scale back office applications capable of processing
enterprise-wide securities activities.
“John's expertise in managing the implementation of back office applications
within the financial services arena will be invaluable to Access as the
company grows,“ said Rob Stavis, partner at lead investor Bessemer
Venture Partners. “We believe that the combination of its recent financing
and John Buckner’s leadership will position the company to leverage
the opportunities that we see in the reference data marketplace,”
added Stavis. |
